THINGS TO DO
Events, gatherings, & outings: What to see and do in the Millbrook, NY area.
Starting at 10 am and going to 11 pm on 9/14, Innisfree’s Mid-Autumn Festival celebrates the full moon, fall harvest, and the moon goddess. Traditions include lanterns to light a path to prosperity and good fortune, eating mooncakes, and gathering with family and friends. Innisfree’s day-to-night festivities include artist-led paper lantern-making, storytelling of traditional Chinese tales, mooncake samples, moon-inspired Chinese Qigong, moon and stars viewing, a lantern display, and their first-ever golden hour picnic.
Innisfree’s Fall Community Day has been supported in part by a generous grant from the Northeast Dutchess Fund, a fund of Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation. Thanks to the Northeast Dutchess Fund, Innisfree is delighted to offer FREE garden admission and DISCOUNTED event tickets on Community Day to residents of these Northeast Dutchess County communities of Amenia, Clinton Corners, Pleasant Valley, Dover Plains, Millbrook, Wassaic, Wingdale, Millerton, North East, Pine Plains, Stanford, Washington and their hamlets.
