Celebrate spring by spending some time with DLC Director of Education Julie Hart and the folks at Connecticut Audubon learning about vernal pools. We’ll start off at one of the nearby ponds for an overview of how vernal pools are unique among our local water bodies. Then we’ll head to one of many vernal pools to look, listen, and learn about the amphibians and other wildlife that rely on them, and talk about how we can help to protect and conserve these special habitats.
