KJ Denhert is a NYC-based songwriter, guitarist, vocalist and bandleader whose soulful and smoky vocal stylings are earthy and elegant. The NY Unit, is a band KJ started in 1997. It has toured globally, made 9 albums and enjoyed residencies from NY’s West Village to Italy and St Barthelemy.

Michele Gedney has been writing songs since she was 7 years old. She continued writing throughout her life, mostly in the privacy of her room.  In 1999, armed with a lifetime of songs, she ventured out to explore performing and, with a life-changing connection, met her musical partner and husband, Rick. Under the name Open Book, the duo released several albums which received critical acclaim and national airplay.  They toured for 23 years up and down the east coast. The most recent album, Leaning In, was released in September of 2023, eight months after Rick passed away.
