Sure to satisfy, this varied program comprises an iconic and sensual solo by Won Kim, based on traditional elements, a percussive solo energized by the interaction between costume and dancer by Yelim Kim, and Younghoon Oh’s playful and boisterous quartet. 4 pm – 6 pm at the Stissing Center.

CELEBRATING 50 YEARS, MUSIC IN THE PARKS, HYDE PARK
Music in the Parks celebrates 50 years with concerts in June, July, and August at the Vanderbilt and Mills mansions. The first concert will be Hyde Park Central School District’s BANDemonium at Vanderbilt on June 5. 7 pm.

The Orvis Shotgun Classic Wingshooting Clinic is an opportunity for skilled shooters to refine their technique under the guidance of a team of internationally esteemed shooting instructors. With two days of personalized instruction, students will get an opportunity to seek out specific tips, tricks, and adjustments that will enhance success both on the clays course and in the field.

“Urban Cuba, Cuba Urbano”, BEACON
“Urban Cuba/ Cuba Urbano” will be on view at the Changolife Art Center gallery at 211 Fishkill Ave Beacon NY in suite #308 in the Ethan Cohen Kube Gallery complex. Innisfree Garden Annual Benefit: An Evening in the Garden, MILLBROOK
This year Innisfree will celebrate the influences of China on the concept and design of its landscape, with a special focus on the scroll paintings of 8th-century poet and painter Wang Wei. Innisfree will be honoring Ken Holzberg and Tom Kopfensteiner, who founded the local nonprofit Stonewood Farm in 2013—beautifully designed, like Innisfree, to function harmoniously with nature—for their exemplary service to the Millbrook Community. Craft Feast, Shortgown Making with Sarah Jean, PINE PLAINS
In this class, designed for sewing beginners, you will learn how to make basic alterations to a paper sewing pattern, how to cut out your fabric, and how to sew a “shortgown” (a simple top worn in the 18th and 19th centuries) using machine and hand-sewing skills. A mid-class lunch will offer time to eat delicious food and talk about the history of fashion and dressmaking. You will leave the class with a semi-finished shortgown in your size, a pattern, and the skills and tools needed to complete your garment. 12 pm.

American tenor Daniel McGrew and mezzo-soprano Katherine Beck are reuniting at the Stissing Center. Together, they will present a wide range of repertoire from gorgeous European art songs to beloved American musical theater classics, assisted by pianist and musical director Sophia (Shuhui) Zhou. 7 pm – 9 pm.

Innisfree Garden Moving Through the Tao Te Ching, MILLBROOK
In this multidisciplinary program, dancer, writer, and movement therapist Cris Caivano will lead participants to points at Innisfree that she feels align with passages implying motion in the Tao De Ching, a revered 2,500-year-old Chinese poem. The group will read and discuss the relevant passage, and then perform site-specific movements choreographed to express the literary and physical ideas around us. 10 am – 11 am.
