Mary Beth Lawlor is the Publisher of Happening in the Hills LLC and Editor-in-Chief of Litchfield and Dutchess Magazines, high-quality regional lifestyle magazines showcasing the best of Litchfield County, CT and Dutchess County, NY.
After moving from New York City fifteen years ago, Mary Beth immersed herself in the vibrant communities of Litchfield County and just across the border, Dutchess County, NY. She became the founding editor of Mommy Poppins CT, developing a passion for storytelling and connecting people through her work. Over the years, she has taken on leadership roles, including serving as the publisher and editor of notable local publications, Litchfield and Dutchess Magazines.
In addition to her work in media, Mary Beth has been actively involved in supporting area nonprofits, lending her expertise in communications, marketing, and event planning. She is also the co-founder of a women’s business networking group, fostering collaboration and connection among local entrepreneurs.
A champion of community and culture, Mary Beth continues to bring people together through her publications, Dutchess Magazine and Litchfield Magazine, celebrating the unique stories, landscapes, and creativity of these regions.
