On Saturday, May 17, spirited drivers and co-pilots took to the hills of Dutchess County for the Dutchess Land Conservancy’s Spring Road Rally, raising funds for land conservation. In celebration of its 40th anniversary, the DLC showcased its impact—protecting over 450 properties and nearly 48,000 acres, including 52 working farms.

Participants followed two scenic routes, co-chaired by Steven Benardete, Olivia Fussell, Ottavio Serena di Lapigio, John Teal, and Bob Wilder. The vintage route stopped at the Wassaic Project to view its latest exhibition, while the trivia route completed a custom quiz.

Both groups gathered at Tenmile Distillery to enjoy lunch and craft cocktails, marking the start of the DLC’s anniversary year with a memorable day of community, conservation, and countryside charm.—dutchessland.org
