Hockey Night: Lace up your skates for a night of slap shots, kick saves, and (maybe) a little action! The first 1,000 fans at Heritage Financial Park will receive a special Renegades hockey jersey.

Swing by Heritage Financial Park to catch the Hudson Valley Renegades—the High-A affiliate of the New York Yankees—as they defend their back-to-back South Atlantic League North Division titles in 2025! The Renegades play 66 home games from April through September, each featuring a unique promotional theme.

Heritage Financial Park is conveniently located just a mile off Exit 41 on Interstate 84, a short drive from the Beacon Metro-North station and several Fishkill-area hotels.

The Wappingers Historical Society presents the Spirit of Mesier Midsummer cocktail gala, honoring County Players and Kristin Catalano for their contributions to the Wappingers community while celebrating the Town of Wappinger’s 150th anniversary. This premier event will be held at the historic Boathouse (formerly the Box Factory for the Dutchess Bleachery) in Wappingers Falls.

Enjoy catering and drinks by Simply Gourmet, live music by Bryan Lammers and The Blend, and a silent auction featuring local experiences and artwork.

Celebrate the Power of Words at Beacon LitFest 2025

The Beacon LitFest brings the vibrant literary arts community of the Hudson Valley together, featuring a diverse lineup of award-winning poets, playwrights, fiction writers, and nonfiction authors. Enjoy a weekend filled with readings, lively conversations, performances, and opportunities to connect.

This year’s festival runs Thursday through Saturday, June 12–14. Choose from all-access three-day passes or single-event tickets.

The festivities kick off with the Beacon LitFest Opening Party and Performance at Denning’s Point Distillery. Hosted by Drew Prochaska of Artichoke Storytelling, the evening will feature live performances by local writers Matan Broshi, Lily Friedrich, Sam Petty, and Nina Robins, plus storytelling curated by Drew. Afterward, stay for signature cocktails, lively conversation, and even a little dancing!

Join the party!

Locust Grove Estate’s 20th anniversary Sunset Sensations Wine and Food Tasting Season continues each month on select Thursdays through Dec. 11!

At each event, enjoy a delicious tasting menu prepared by the Hudson Valley’s best restaurant and catering chefs paired with very fine wines from local expert wine merchants. Each month, a different chef creates tastings inspired by the bounty of Locust Grove’s historic kitchen garden, which is still producing under the hardworking hands of Locust Grove volunteers. Chef and wine merchant talks and a tour of Locust Grove’s blooming gardens round out each evening.

Upcoming Sunset Sensations events are set for April 10, May 8, June 12, July 10, Aug. 14, Sept. 18, Oct. 9, Nov. 13, Dec. 4 and Dec. 11.

Bulgarian American violinist Bella Hristova makes her debut with the Hudson Valley Chamber Music Circle, joining acclaimed pianist Anna Polonsky for a vibrant recital. Their kaleidoscopic program features masterpieces from the classical canon by Bach and Haydn, Grieg’s impassioned Second Violin Sonata—composed during the joyous weeks of his honeymoon—and the world premiere of a new solo violin work by Pulitzer Prize-winning composer Ellen Taaffe Zwilich.

Raw milk natural cheesemaking class split into two days. Day one will focus on Alpine Cheese and day 2 will focus on Blue Cheese.

The class will cover:

• History of cheese

• Cheese styles and their regions

• Fermentation and acidification

• Molding and salting

• Aging: in caves, aging chambers, and home refrigerators

• Optimal points for consumption

It will be taught by a guest cheesemaker from Uruguay, along with a tasting of Uruguayan natural wines and cheese.

Lunch is provided both days.

9am – 1pm

A schedule will be sent out in advance.

All of the donations will go towards the travel costs for the teacher + lunch expense.

This year’s Annual Dinner features General von Steuben, Inspector General and Drillmaster of the Continental Army, as portrayed by a finely skilled actor from the American Historical Theatre.  Von Steuben, a Prussian-born professional soldier, was recruited by Benjamin Franklin and hired by George Washington.  Hear about his service in the Revolutionary War, his impressions of the American military as compared to European armies, and his time headquartered at Mount Gulian.

Enjoy cocktails on the riverside lawn, a four-course, historically themed dinner served in our 18th century Dutch barn, live and silent auctions.  $185 per person; proceeds support Mount Gulian’s education programs.  Prepaid reservations by May 16.

Come have some fun and learn how you can make a difference in their lives. Every moment you spend with us helps support and advocate for abused, neglected, and unwanted equines. It’s a chance to have a blast while making a real difference.
