Inspired by the Japanese tradition of hanami, flower viewing, we invite you to enjoy the transient and transcendental beauty of Marion Beck’s heirloom daffodils. Some may have been planted as early as 1930, all were planted before Mrs. Beck’s death in 1959, and their numbers have increased steadily over the years. Now these thousands of daffodils along with the native shadblow, Amelanchier canadensis, welcome the earliest spring visitors to Innisfree each year.

Millbrook Village Neighborhood Spring Sale

May 11, 2023

The Millbrook Village Neighborhood Spring Sale is taking place in April 22 and 23, starting at
9 – 4 on both days with rain dates of May 20 and 21. They are hoping for a huge success, and
hopefully this will become a local staple of Millbrook, with perhaps more sales in the Fall and
Christmas.

It’s Earth Day and the Spring sale concept is incredibly environmentally friendly. Especially in a
village like Millbrook, where you can park, bring out a radio flyer wagon and walk around for a
few hours.

We are selling anything and everything. YESTERDAY’S pre-loved garments are TODAY’S on-
trend fashion finds and TOMORROW’S sustainable living with lower carbon footprint & less

landfill. Incredible local and international brands, One-off designer apparel, designer shoes and
bags, Furniture, Decorative pillows, good quality items at good prices and then tag sale items at
respective tag sale prices. Even a pair of custom designed Texan boots, a vintage wedding dress
and a brand-new Jessica McClintock wedding dress and an assorted of evening gowns, Arts and
crafts etc. So it is an opportunity for everybody to clear their space, and to make space for more
stuff for next year.(!)
We have extended an invitation to everybody to participate in setting up their own yards, or if
they do not have a yard or only a few things to sell, to reach out and we will match them with a
neighbor who has offered to share his yard/lawn.
And we have reached out to neighbors with yards, to advise if they are willing to have a few
added tables pitched in their yard – the more the merrier!

Join us at Maxon Mills in celebrating all that the Wassaic Project has been, is, and can be. We’ll be honoring Bony Ramirez at the event. Ramirez, a self-taught artist with no prior residency or New York gallery experience, had his first residency at the Wassaic Project in 2019. Since then, he’s shown at galleries, fairs, and museums nationwide: Thierry Goldberg, Jeffrey Dietch, François Ghebaly, Sugar Hill Children’s Museum. We can’t take credit for his success, but when you see new artists at major institutions, remember that they’ve almost certainly honed their crafts and built their communities at places like the Wassaic Project. No artist is an island!

We’ll also be honoring everyone who’s joined our 15-year Anniversary Circle by making a $15,000 commitment or 5-year gift. These generous contributions will help ensure we can offer deeper support to more artists throughout the next 15 years.Tickets include heavy hors d’oeuvres, cocktails, wine, and a thank you gift. We can’t wait to see you there!

With love,
Eve, Bowie, and Jeff
