Join us for movie nights on Bannerman Island

What better way to spend the evening that with a cruise to and from Bannerman Island and a movie at the Castle? There is a Bannerman Island tour for the patrons on the first boat departure time, and a Bannerman lecture on the second boat departure time. There is a concession stand on the island that is stocked with water, drinks, snacks, candy, and popcorn for the perfect island movie night.

Find your flow in the fresh farm air with Saturday morning yoga led by RedTail Power Yoga. Held on the covered wraparound porch at Treasury Cider, this peaceful practice offers views of blooming gardens, rolling orchards, and distant mountains.

Check-in begins at 8:30 a.m. at the farm store—please arrive by 8:50 a.m. to settle in. Bring comfortable layers to stay cozy in the hillside breeze.

All levels are welcome. Rain or shine, classes take place weekly and must be booked online in advance.

Since its founding in 2021, the Troutbeck Symposium has empowered over 1,000 students and dozens of educators to uncover and share local histories that have been lost, buried, or ignored. Through collaborative, place-based research, students become stewards of history, using art, film, and scholarship to bring the past into meaningful dialogues with the present.

If the cars aren’t enough art for you, The Wassaic Project’s Summer exhibition is on view

and our fingers are crossed that Ten Mile Table is open for business

The Voice of Art (TVOA) is organizing its fifth annual outdoor juried fine art show, “Fine Art Festival” Sharon on the Green (formerly known as Litchfield Art Festival). This show is free and open to the public and will showcase high-quality fine art and fine functional art created by the artists from CT plus six other states. TVOA’s Fine Art Festival will be a highlight for art collectors and residents from the Tri-State region, New England and beyond.

• Memorial Day Weekend: Sat-Sun, May 24-25, 2025 (10am-5pm)
• Sharon Town Green (63 Main St. Sharon CT)
• Free and Open to the Public
• Fine Art & Fin Functional Art
o Fine Art: Painting, Photography, Mixed Media (2D/3D), Digital Art, Graphics/Drawing, Printmaking and Sculpture
o Fine Functional Art: Ceramics, Glass, Leather, Fiber Art, Wood Works, Metal and Jewelry

Festival details are as follows:
• “FAF Raffle” Fundraiser will be taking place at the Info Booth during the event. FAF Raffle prize items were donated by the local businesses in Litchfield Hills. All proceeds will go to funds supporting FAF Sharon 2025.
• Food Trucks: Crepe Royal and three more food trucks will serve their amazing specialties during the event

I host the festival below.  Although it is in Putnam County, it is very close to Dutchess Count, so will please let me know if I can add this to your event list.

Get ready to enjoy live music with your family and friends at the 14th Annual Putnam County Wine & Music Fest (formerly Putnam County Wine & Food Fest)!

 

The event is set to take place on August 16-17, 2025, at the Putnam County Veterans Memorial Park, located at 201 Gipsy Trail Road, Carmel, NY. This celebrated festival will showcase a variety of exceptional ciders, spirits, and wines from top producers, along with live musical performances, gourmet food, arts and crafts, exhibits, cooking demonstrations, and children’s activities from face painting, sand art, and cornhole games.

Early Bird Tasting Tickets: $20 (advance), including a tasting glass and all wine, cider, and spirit sampling. Most samples are 1-2oz. Food and beer are not included. (Age 21 and over – ID required.)

Designated Driver: $5.00. This is a non-alcohol ticket for guests who are underage or choose not to consume alcohol. Only guests with wristbands verifying they are over 21 will be served alcohol. Those observed consuming alcohol will be asked to leave the premises. Please note that food and beer are not included with this ticket.

Children under sixteen are free.
