Come roll up your sleeves and get grounded with the Vassar College Environmental Cooperative at the Walkway Over the Hudson’s East Gate Plaza in Poughkeepsie! This hands-on event will teach you how you can actively support essential pollinators like butterflies and bees right in your own backyard. Learn about the importance of native plants, how to create an environment that attracts pollinators, and discover simple, effective ways to make a difference in your community. Participants will have the chance to decorate their own pot, learn gardening tips, and take home a seedling (while supplies last) to start their pollinator-friendly garden. Best of all, Walkway Connections events are completely free to attend, so come out and make a positive impact on the environment while having fun!
