With such lovely countryside, it’s the perfect place for flower farms to thrive, and for florists to create beautiful bouquets. Whether you are looking to add a pop of color to your home, or to gift a fresh bouquet, we’ve compiled a list of the local flower stands, florists, and flower farms in the area.
Flower Box
Flower Box offers a beautiful selection of floral arrangements crafted from locally grown flowers right here in Millbrook. Arrangements can be found throughout the summer at the Millbrook Farmers Market, the Locust Hill Market, and the Taste of NY at Todd Hill Market. They also provide floral services for weddings and events, producing beautiful, lavish centerpieces for your special day.

Water Trough Flowers
One of our favorite roadside secrets is Water Trough Flowers, a flower and egg stand located right across from the Fire Station in Stanfordville. They offer a variety of seasonal, locally grown flowers that add a pop of color to any home. Perfect for grabbing on the way to a party as a quick last minute gift.

Stonewood Farm
Stonewood Farm is one of our favorite local farms, offering a beautiful selection of flower arrangements! You can find their bouquets at their Stonewood Farm Pop-Up Market every other Friday through October 7 (7/15, 7/29, 8/12, 8/26, 9/9, 9/23, 10/7).

Bear Creek Farm
The recipient of “Best Dahlias” by New York Magazine, Bear Creek Farm specializes in growing breathtaking dahlias and other seasonal cut flowers. You can bring their flowers into your home via their “CSA Flower Subscription.” With this subscription, members receive Bear Creek flowers every season, which can be picked up from Troutbeck in Amenia or in Stanfordville. They also host “Blooms and Breakfast” on Saturdays and Sundays at their farm when flowers are in season.

Foxtrot Farm & Flowers
Located right in Stanfordville, Foxtrot Farm & Flowers specializes in cut flowers, herbs, small fruits, and vegetables. You can order their flower arrangements online or find them at Montgomery Place Orchards or MX Morningstar. They often host events, as well, such as “Foxtrot Fridays,” a picnic and pick-your-own flowers event.

Hudson Valley Flower Farm
Hudson Valley Flower Farm is a women owned and operated business that works to grow the freshest and most fragrant flowers using sustainable methods that simultaneously support the environment. They offer a unique “bouquet subscription program” that allows Dutchess County flower-lovers to treat themselves or a loved one to weekly bouquet deliveries. The bouquets contain 20-30 stems of flowers and greenery often cut that same day on the farm. They offer a “Once a Month” option or Weekly 1-month, 2-month, or 3-month subscription.
